Injury Matters launches the Improve Your Health campaign

Injury Matters is launching the three-month Stay On Your Feet® Improve Your Health campaign across Western Australia. The Improve Your Health campaign encourages older adults to check their medicines, keep a healthy mind, and fuel their bodies with simple changes to prevent falls and support healthy ageing.

What does the campaign have in store for you?

Older adults can look forward to a series of community events throughout the campaign, starting with a cooking and nutrition workshop with Edith Cowan University, a She Shed event at Cockburn Senior Citizens Centre, an Improve Your Health expo at Rossmoyne Waters Retirement Village, and a series of Improve Your Health educational sessions alongside WA Seniors Card Tours. Don’t forget you can always book a free Stay On Your Feet® community presentation with one of our Peer Educators too!

Health professionals can expect a series of Improve Your Health themed training opportunities on offer throughout the campaign, including a Falls and cardiac health webinar and Preventing falls in older adults: A focus on diet and screening sarcopenia training.

You can also look forward to seeing these guys on TV and Facebook throughout the state!

What are other organisations doing?

It’s not just Injury Matters running falls prevention activities this campaign. Our successful Improve Your Health grant recipients and friends at the City of Bunbury, City of Mandurah, and Pramana Medical Group will also be running some exciting Improve Your Health grant programs in the community over the next three months.
